[ 03 ] Sustainability

From bottle to button

[ PROCESS ] PET → button
  1. [01]

    PET bottles gathered by waste collectors are combined, washed, cleaned and dried.

  2. [02]

    They are ground into granules, and their polymer structure is broken down into liquid form.

  3. [03]

    The liquid becomes a raw material for unsaturated polyester resin and is mixed with other raw materials in reactors.

  4. [04]

    The resin takes its new form and goes into button production. Rebuilt at molecular level, it performs exactly like virgin polyester.

Low styrene (LSC)

Low-styrene resin limits emissions, odour and exposure in the workplace, meets European exposure legislation and performs exactly like standard resin. After years of R&D we produce polyester with styrene seven times below safety requirements.
